Police Investigate Suspicious Person Complaint.

Public Advisory – Suspicious Person Complaint

New Glasgow, Nova Scotia
The New Glasgow Regional Police (NGRP) responded to a complaint of a suspicious male on Albert Street, New Glasgow, on Thursday, September 18, at 5:20pm

Police immediately responded and upon investigation identified an adult male.
Police investigated and worked in close collaboration with the local school.

A Protection of Property Act for the immediate area was issued against the adult male.

At this time, there is no identified specific threat to public safety.

The safety of our community, especially children is our top priority.

We encourage parents and guardians to review these safety tips with their children when walking to and from school or spending time in public spaces:

Walk with a buddy whenever possible.
Stay in well-lit, busy areas and avoid shortcuts through isolated spaces.
Never accept rides or gifts from strangers.
If approached or feeling unsafe, go to a trusted adult, business, or safe place immediately.
Call 911 in an emergency.
