Police Investigate Serious Incident at Park.

PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUEST – WESTVILLE POLICE SERVICE 

Westville Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying individuals involved in an incident that occurred in the Acadia Park / North Main Street area of Westville on the evening of March 18, 2026.

At approximately 9:20 PM – 9:40 PM, police received a report that occupants of a vehicle approached individuals in the area and were observed displaying objects believed to be weapons before leaving the scene. The presence and nature of any weapons have not been confirmed at this time. Fortunately, no serious physical injuries were reported.

Based on the information available at this time, this incident is believed to have been isolated and random in nature, with no indication of an ongoing threat to the public.

As part of the ongoing investigation (PROS File #: 2026353213), police have obtained photos of individuals and a vehicle believed to be involved and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

The vehicle is described as a brown Chevrolet Aveo with black trim along the doors, and is believed to have had its license plate obscured. The individuals involved are described as young males wearing face coverings.
