Police Investigate Fatal Crash Involving Three Youths.

Two youths were killed and another suffered life-threatening injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Lilydale on Saturday morning.

Lunenburg District RCMP, fire services and EHS responded to the crash on Hwy. 324 at about 6:40 a.m. on July 11.

Police say a Ford Bronco travelling southeast left the roadway and struck a tree. The youth driver and a youth passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. A third youth occupant was airlifted to hospital by EHS LifeFlight with life-threatening injuries.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene. Highway 324 was closed for several hours while investigators examined the crash but has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing with assistance from the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.
