Pictou County Man Has Heen Charged With Attempted Murder.

At approximately 5:23 a.m., a Joint Forces Investigation between the New Glasgow Regional Police Major Crime Unit and Stellarton Police Service with assistance of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Critical Incident Program conducted an arrest warrant on Foord Street at a Town of Stellarton apartment.

The arrest warrant was part of a Joint Force Investigation resulting from an attempted murder investigation that took place on September 16, 2022 at an Abercrombie Road apartment complex in New Glasgow.

No one was injured during the arrest warrant.

As part of the investigation, police executed a search warrant this afternoon at the apartment and seized weapons and drugs.

Jamie Lee Jackson, male 40, of Pictou County has been charged with the following offences:

Attempted Murder;
Carrying a Firearm;
Pointing a Firearm;
Possession of a firearm with no license;
Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited.

Jackson was remanded into custody and will be appearing in Provincial Court in Pictou on Tuesday morning.

During the arrest warrant, a 36-year-old-female was charged with three counts of failing to attend court. Also a 28-year-old-female was charged with firearms offences.

The investigation is continuing.
