New Glasgow Regional Police– High School placed in lockdown during investigation.

This afternoon at 11:50 a.m. New Glasgow Regional Police were advised of a threat near an adjacent property near North Nova Education Centre School in New Glasgow. NGR Police Officers immediately attended the adjacent property and the school. A thorough search of the surrounding area resulted in one male arrested.

The threat took place near an adjacent property close to North Nova Education Centre and the school was placed in Code Blue Lockdown as a safety precaution.

The school’s lockdown protocol was initiated during the investigation and was lifted once officers determined there was no threat to the school or community.

New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate.
