Impaired Driver in New Glasgow Provides Breath Samples Four Times Over the Legal Limit.

New Glasgow Regional Police arrested a 24-year-old Pictou County man for impaired driving after following up on a report of a suspected impaired driver.

At approximately 10:12 pm on Tuesday November 15, NGR Police located driver of a Red Dodge Caliber vehicle on East River Road, New Glasgow.

He was arrested for impaired driving and was transported to the NGR Police Station where he provided breath samples that were four times the legal limit. He was released from custody and is scheduled to attend court in January 2023 for charges of impaired driving. His vehicle was towed seized and his licence was suspended.

New Glasgow Regional Police thanks the public for continuing to report suspected impaired drivers. Police also ask the public to immediately call 911 if they see a possible impaired driver, to report their location along with a description of the vehicle, including the license plate number, colour, make and model, the direction of travel for the vehicle and a description of the driver.
