Police Respond to Bomb Threat at Aberdeen Hospital.

On Saturday October 7, 2023, at approximately 2:20 a.m., New Glasgow Regional Police (NGRP) responded to a bomb threat at the Aberdeen Hospital, East River Road New Glasgow.

Hospital staff advised police that they received a call from a female advising them of a bomb in the building.

NGRP officers attended the hospital and staff conducted a thorough search of the hospital complex.

No suspicious package or device was located.

Inside the hospital, patients and staff were not evacuated.

This incident remains under investigation by the New Glasgow Regional Police Major Crime Unit, where the female caller could face False Information and Public Mischief charges.
