42 Year Old Female Arrested For Aberdeen Hospital Bomb Threat.

New Glasgow Regional Police have charged a 42-year-old female of Pictou County in relation to a bomb threat that occurred in New Glasgow on Saturday October 7, 2023, at approximately 2:20 a.m..

New Glasgow Regional Police (NGRP) responded to the bomb threat at the Aberdeen Hospital, East River Road New Glasgow, where hospital staff advised police that they received a call from a female advising them of a bomb in the building.

NGRP officers attended the hospital and staff conducted a thorough search of the hospital complex.

No suspicious package or device was located.

Inside the hospital, patients and staff were not evacuated.

As part of the investigation New Glasgow Regional Police Criminal Investigations Unit with assistance of New Glasgow Regional Police Patrol Unit arrested a 42-year-old female at her residence in Springville, N.S..

The Aberdeen Hospital was cleared safe and the bomb threat was false.

False Information
Angela Marie Anderson has been released upon strict conditions and will be appearing in Provincial Court in Pictou on November 20, 2023.
