38 Year-Old Woman Facing Multiple Charges After Traffic Stop.

On October 19th 2023, New Glasgow Regional Police NGRP Criminal Investigations Section with assistance from New Glasgow Regional Police patrol units conducted a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet Silverado on East River Road, New Glasgow.

Upon investigation NGRP officers learned that both the driver and passenger were on conditions not to have no contact with each other and that the truck the driver was operating was reported stolen from Digby County.

The driver of the stolen truck, Alicia Marie Hartling (38) was arrested and charged for:
Possession of stolen Property over $5000.00;
Failure to comply with condition of her Release order (2 counts);
Failure to comply with condition of her Probation Order (3 counts);
Driving motor vehicle while license revoked
The Passenger of the truck, Steven Alden Mackay (37) was arrested and charged for:
Possession of stolen property over $5000.00;
Failure to comply with condition of his Probation Order.

Hartling was remanded into custody, and will appearing in Provincial Court on October 23rd, 2023.

Mackay was remanded into custody and will be appearing in Provincial Court in Pictou Court on the 20th of October 2023.

New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate.
