Fire Results in Extensive Damage to Residence.
On Monday January 29 at approximately 8:25 p.m., New Glasgow Fire Department, Stellarton Fire Department, Linacy Fire Department, Trenton Fire Department, New Glasgow Regional Police, Emergency Health Services and Nova Scotia Power responded to a structure fire at a residence at the intersection of Fobres and James Street, New Glasgow.
Fobres and James Streets continue to be closed to traffic and pedestrians for as fire crews continue to deal with hotspots in the residence.
No one was injured as a result of the fire.
The residence sustained extensive damages.
The residence was a former church.
The investigation will continue later today as investigators will continue to determine possible causes.
New Glasgow Fire Department and New Glasgow Regional Police remain on scene and continue to investigate.
