Online Dating Leads To Charges For Man.

The Special Victims Section of the RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division has charged a man with Sexual Assault following an incident in Lawrencetown.

On September 11, 2023, RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment received a complaint of sexual assault. Officers learned that a man was using Facebook Dating to communicate with a woman who agreed to meet with him at a restaurant on Forest Hills Parkway in Cole Harbour. The woman later entered the man’s Dodge Ram and was driven to a location in Lawrencetown, where the man sexually assaulted her.

On February 23, Manjeet Singh Pandher, 46, from Bedford, attended the RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division office, at the investigator’s request, where he was safely arrested.

Pandher has been charged with Sexual Assault. He was later released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on April 2, at 9:30 a.m.
