The 26-year-old woman and six-year-old child whom police requested the public’s assistance in locating yesterday has been located and was safe.

Halifax Regional Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 26-year-old woman and six-year-old child.

Anna Musabyimana was reported missing to Halifax Regional Police from Trois-Rivières, Quebec earlier this week on May 6. Investigators have information leading them to believe she is in the Halifax area. Anna is believed to be with her six-year-old daughter, Rebecca Irankunda.

Anna is described as Black, approximately 5’2″ tall, with a thin build, short black hair and brown eyes. Rebecca is described as Black with short black hair and brown eyes. Anna’s first language is Kinyarwanda, speaks some Swahili and does not speak English. 

There is no information to suggest that Anna and Rebecca have met with foul play; however, police and their family are concerned for their wellbeing.
