Police Seeking Man in Relation to Serious Investigation After Well-Being Check on Woman.
Police investigate homicide
Halifax Regional Police is investigating a homicide where remains were recovered yesterday.
On October 10, at approximately 9:40 a.m., officers responded to a well-being check at Quingate Place in Halifax. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased woman. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service has ruled the death a homicide. The investigation is in the early stages and details are limited, but police do not believe this to be a random incident. Further information will follow when it becomes available.
Halifax Regional Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Jonathan William Pinsky, 41, who is a person of interest in this investigation. Pinsky is described as 5’2” tall and approximately 100lbs. He may be wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, cargo pants and a backpack. If he is seen, please do not approach him and call 911.
