Active Transportation Grant For Town of Port Hawkesbury.
Residents of Port Hawkesbury will benefit from the completion of the Pine Ridge Drive active transportation project with a provincial grant.
“People of all ages benefit when we support active transportation,” said Allan MacMaster, Minister of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage. “Active transportation options contribute to healthier and more accessible communities but also support environmentally friendly solutions that reduce traffic congestion, pollution and energy consumption.”
The Pine Ridge Drive active transportation project, managed by the Town of Port Hawkesbury, is a 375-metre paved multi-use pathway designed to provide alternative commuting options such as walking, running and cycling. The town received funding to complete the final phase.
