Woman Charged With Breaching Conditions For Contacting Youth Victim.

Colchester County District RCMP has charged a woman with breaching the conditions of her release related to sexual offence charges laid in June.

On November 12, Colchester County District RCMP received information that Nicole MacLeod, who was charged in June with sexual offences, breached conditions of her release by contacting a youth victim.

On November 16, she was arrested and remanded into custody. MacLeod has been charged with breach of release order and will appear in Truro Provincial Court on November 20.

These charges are in addition to a previous breach of conditions on August 31, which resulted in her arrest and subsequent release on conditions by the court.

If you are experiencing sexual violence or know someone who may be, please contact your local police or RCMP Detachment. Police want victims to know that they can contact them and discuss an incident before deciding to further participate in the investigation and court process. The Colchester County District RCMP can be contacted at 902-893-6820.
