New Glasgow Regional Police Arrest a Female for Flight From Police and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

On March 7, 2023 shortly after midnight, New Glasgow Regional Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop of blue Honda Civic on East River Road New Glasgow. The driver refused to stop and fled from police at a high rate of speed. In the interest of public safety, a pursuit was not initiated.
At approximately 6:30 a.m. an off-duty Stellarton Police Service Officer located the vehicle on Middle River Road in Union Centre that was involved in a single motor vehicle collision.
New Glasgow Regionla Police and Pictou County District RCMP attended the location and arrested a 31-year-old female from Pictou County.
The female was charged with
· Flight from Police.
· Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
· Operating a Motor Vehicle while License Revoked.
· Operating a Motor Vehicle with No Insurance.
The female was later released from custody on an undertaking and will appear in Pictou Provincial Court in June 5 2023 at 0930 a.m.
