RCMP is Investigating a Fatal Side by Side Crash.

Eskasoni RCMP is investigating a fatal side by side crash that occurred in Eskasoni.

On December 22, 2023, at approximately 1:32 a.m., Eskasoni RCMP, fire and EHS responded to a side by side crash off a trail. RCMP officers learned that the side by side had slid off a trail and rolled down an embankment into a river.

The passenger of the side by side, a 23-year-old Eskasoni man was transported to hospital by EHS where he was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the side by side, a 28-year-old Eskasoni man was uninjured.

The investigation is ongoing.
