Three Arrested For Drug Offences.
The Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit has charged three people with drug offences after a search warrant was executed at a home in North Kentville.
On December 21, 2023, the Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with assistance from the Kings District RCMP General Investigation Section, Kings District RCMP, the Kentville Police Service General Investigation Section, the Kentville Police Service and the RCMP Police Dog Services, executed a search warrant at a home on Mee Rd. in North Kentville. Police located two men and one woman in the home and, safely arrested them. During the search, police located and seized cocaine, methamphetamine, clonazepam, scales, cash, a taser, brass knuckles and cellphones.
Laura Llewellyn, 38, from North Kentville, Allen Mahaney, 57, from Kentville and Jorden Keddy, 28, from Kentville have all been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (three counts), Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (1 count), Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (two counts), Llewellyn was also charged with Failure to Comply with a Release Order (three counts) and Mahaney with Possession of a Weapon Contrary to an Order (two counts).
Llewellyn was remanded and will appear in Kentville Provincial Court today. Mahaney and Keddy were released on conditions. Mahaney will appear on January 24, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. and Keddy will appear on February 1, 2024, at 9:30 a.m., both in Kentville Provincial Court.
