Update: Missing Pictou County Woman Found.

The 60-year-old woman who was reported missing yesterday from River John has been found safe.

The RCMP thanks Nova Scotians for assisting with missing persons files through social media shares and offering tips.

Pictou County District RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 60-year-old Shelley Anne Whidden, who was reported missing today in River John.

Whidden is described as 5-foot-5, 200lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Whidden was last seen wearing dark blue or black tights and a black sweater.

Investigators believe Whidden may be driving a grey 2013 Toyota Rav4 bearing the Nova Scotia licence plate FDV559.

When someone goes missing, it has deep and far-reaching impacts for the person and those that know them. We ask that people spread the word through social media respectfully.
