Police Investigate Theft From Tire Shop.

New Glasgow Regional Police/Crime Stoppers requests public assistance to identify person(s) responsible for theft of tires, New Glasgow.

New Glasgow Regional Police and Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers are looking for your help in identifying the persons responsible for break in and theft of tires from a tire store on Westville Road where person(s) were responsible for theft of several tires.

On Tuesday, January 16th 2024, New Glasgow Regional Police received a report of a break and enter and theft that had occurred at the Andy’s Tire Shop Ltd. located at 141 Westville Rd. New Glasgow.

Sometime between 10:30 pm Saturday January 13th and 12:30am (just after midnight) on Sunday January 14th person(s) broke into a secure storage container with bolt cutters cut the lock and stole four sets of tires plus one 1⁄2 set had been stolen; total tire value being over $10,000.

Tires stolen are described as

  1. BFGOODRICH All-Terrain T/A KO2 121/118R (RWL) LT275/70R17/E
  2. BFGOODRICH All-Terrain T/A KO2 119/116S (RWL) LT275/70R16/D
  3. BFGOODRICH Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 124Q (RBL) 37×12.50R17/D
  4. MICHELIN Defender LTX M/S 125/122R (BSW) LT285/65R18/E
  5. BFGOODRICH All-Terrain T/A KO2 124/121R (RWL) LT275/70R16/D

Police are also looking for information on the vehicle that may have been used in the thefts.

New Glasgow Regional Police are continuing to investigate.
