Police Investigating Shooting in New Glasgow.

On February 16, at approximately 5:40 a.m., New Glasgow Regional Police responded to a report of a shooting that occurred on Washington Street New Glasgow. A 30-year-old male was already at the Aberdeen Hospital at the time of the report.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the man was shot outside of a Washington Street residence in the 400 block area resulting in non-life threatening injuries. The shooting is believed to have occurred between 5:15a.m. to 5:30a.m. Investigators have determined that there is no immediate threat to public safety.

New Glasgow Regional Police Major Crime Unit with assistance of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Forensic Identification Services continues to investigate.

Police continue to be on scene at this time February 16 2024 2:25pm.
