Fire at Apartment Building in New Glasgow.

March 25 3:20am -Brookside Avenue Street closure in the area of the 100 block on Brookside Avenue.

Emergency crews are on scene of a four unit apartment fire.

Police are asking motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area of Brookside Avenue and areas so emergency crews can safety respond to the ongoing situation.

As multiple streets in the area of Brookside Avenue affected including areas on Almont and High Street.

Fire crews are requesting not to drive over fire hoses and stay clear of the fire scene.

All persons/tenants escaped the fire. Red Cross has been assisting persons who have been displaced by the fire.
