Dirt Bike Crash Claims Life of 30 Year Old.
RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Hwy. 2 in Wellington.
Yesterday, at approximately 8:38 p.m., RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment, EHS, and fire, responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy. 2 in Wellington. Upon arrival, RCMP officers learned that a dirt bike had been travelling northbound on Hwy. 2 when it left the road and crashed.
The driver, and sole rider of the dirt bike, a 30-year-old Lr. Sackville man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
Hwy. 2 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
