Antigonish County Community To Receive The 2024 Lieutenant-Governor’s Community Spirit Award.
The 2024 Lieutenant-Governor’s Community Spirit Award honours four outstanding communities that demonstrate exceptional commitment to civic engagement, support for residents and the promotion and preservation of their rich history.
The recipients are:
- Arisaig, Antigonish County
- Beechville, Halifax Regional Municipality
- Isle Madame, Richmond County
- L’sitkuk (Bear River First Nation).
“I am thrilled to honour communities that have gone above and beyond in promoting positive change and collective growth,” said Lt.-Gov. Arthur J. LeBlanc. “Their dedication is truly inspirational, and I eagerly anticipate presenting these well-deserved awards in the weeks to come.”
The award program is administered by the Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage. Recipients demonstrate community engagement and a forward-thinking approach to community development.
