Applications Now Being Accepted For One of 5725 Antlerless Deer Hunting Stamps.
Hunters can now apply for one of 5,725 antlerless deer hunting stamps for the 2024 hunting season.
Stamps are available for the following deer management zones: 103, 104, 106, 108 and 110 in mainland Nova Scotia, and zones 111 and 112 in Cape Breton. Antlerless deer stamps aren’t needed for zones 101, 102, 105, 107 or 109 because these zones are open to harvesting deer of either sex.
For the first time since 2016, bonus deer stamps will be available in eight of the 12 deer management zones. These allow hunters who successfully harvest a deer to receive a stamp that allows them to take a second. Bonus stamps are issued in limited numbers in targeted deer management zones on a first-come, first-served basis.
To be eligible for a stamp, hunters must be a resident of Nova Scotia, be eligible for a deer hunting licence, have a valid Nova Scotia Wildlife Resources Card and be at least 16 years old by the end of the deer hunting season on December 14.
Applications can be made online with a debit or credit card. The application fee is $9.25 (including HST). Applications can also be made by phone and require a credit card.
The application and additional information, including a detailed map of deer management zones, are available at: https://wrs.novascotia.ca/DeerDraw/
The deadline to enter the draw is noon on Friday, July 26. Results will be posted online Thursday, August 15.
