Verbal Altercation Leads to Arrest After Dangerous Items Found in Tent.
Digby RCMP has charged a man with firearms offences after seizing firearms from a Bloomfield property.
On July 17, at approximately 10:50 a.m., Digby RCMP responded to a complaint of a man threatening another man he knew following a verbal altercation.
A short time later, at 12:10 p.m., RCMP officers located the suspect in a vehicle on Hwy. 101 in Plympton and conducted a traffic stop. Both occupants of the Mazda 3 were ordered out of the vehicle and safely arrested.
Following the arrest, investigators attended a residence on Bloomfield Rd. in Bloomfield. In a tent on the property, they located and seized two firearms, ammunition, and a crossbow; one of the firearms was loaded at the time of seizure.
Thirty-eight-year-old Krystofer Evan Robert Edmunds of Bloomfield has been charged with:
- Uttering Threats (three counts)
- Contravention of Storage Regulations (two counts)
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (four counts)
Edmunds was held in custody and appeared in Digby Provincial Court on July 18. The other person arrested at the traffic stop was released without charges.
