Community Facility in Inverness County Receives Substantial Grant.

Residents of Inverness County will see enhancements to the historic Dr. Bernie MacLean Cultural and Recreation Centre with a provincial grant.

“This building has provided a lot of enjoyment for people over the years,” said Allan MacMaster, Minister of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage. “A new roof will mean new life for the rink and help make memories for the next generation.”

The Dr. Bernie MacLean Cultural and Recreation Centre is a multi-purpose facility that has served as a venue for a variety of events, including hockey, figure skating, concerts and community gatherings for over 50 years. The centre received funding for a new roof.
