Community Facilities in Waverley, Fall River, Beaver Bank Areas to Receive Funding.

People living in the Waverley, Fall River and Beaver Bank area will see upgrades to community facilities thanks to provincial grants announced today, August 19.

“Improving community infrastructure creates vibrant spaces where people can socialize, explore their interests and learn new skills,” said Brian Wong, Minister of Advanced Education and MLA for Waverley-Fall River-Beaver Bank, on behalf of Allan MacMaster, Minister of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage. “This investment reflects our dedication to helping communities grow and creating lasting value for generations to come.”

The Cheema Aquatic Club in Waverley provides sport opportunities through canoeing, kayaking and other water sports. The club received funding for facility revitalization to support its active after school program.

Other organizations are also upgrading community facilities through provincial grants:

  • Waverley Community Association – re-shingle roof and paint building exterior
  • Lakeview, Windsor Junction, Fall River (LWF) Firemen’s Association – replace roof on the community hall.

These community grants are part of a series of announcements taking place across the province.
