Police Arrest Man Barricaded in Home.

FINAL UPDATE (12:51 a.m.): Officers have safely taken the person into custody. Officers will remain on scene, continuing with the investigation. The RCMP wishes to thank the public for their patience and understanding.

UPDATE (11:38 p.m.): Officers remain on scene. Immediate neighbours have been asked by our officers to remain inside their homes as a precaution. We are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of the person inside the home and our officers.

PUBLIC ADVISORY: RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) is on Boxwood Crescent in Lower Sackville responding to a situation involving a person who has barricaded themselves inside a home and may be armed. At this time, there is no immediate threat to anyone outside the home. Officers have closed Boxwood Crescent to traffic to allow officers to do their work. Please avoid the area. We will provide updates as we have more information.
