Police Investigate Fatal Collision Involving a Pedestrian and a Transit Bus.

Update: Police investigate vehicle-pedestrian collision

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred this morning in Halifax.

At approximately 6:50 a.m. officers responded to a vehicle-pedestrian collision on the corner of South Park Street and Spring Garden Road. The pedestrian, a 24-year-old woman was struck by a Halifax Transit bus. The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police are no longer on scene and the area around South Park Street and Spring Garden Road is now open to pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with video from the area or information about this incident to contact police at 902-490-5020.
