-Public Advisory-Final Update 4:20am Shelter in place has been lifted for the nearby residents in the Duke Street Trenton area. The area is deemed safe at this time. 

New Glasgow Regional Police remain on scene as the investigation continues.

Police continue to be on scene at this time.
Heavy police presence.

New Glasgow Regional Police/Stellarton Police and RCMP Officers, continue to be on scene at a 100 block residence on Duke Street as part of an ongoing situation of a barricaded person in the residence that may be armed.

Avoid this area and stay in your homes as a precaution until advised. Officers have attended homes in the immediate area of those affected to advise residents to stay in their homes as a precaution.

The immediate area has been closed off to traffic as officers will be detouring traffic and pedestrians.

No immediate threat to the public.
Shelter in place.
