2 Arrested After Traffic Stop in New Glasgow.
Traffic stop leads to drug trafficking charges

Traffic stop by the New Glasgow Regional Police officer has resulted in drug trafficking charges.
On Friday April 11, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a New Glasgow Regional Police officer observed a 30-year-old male driver driving a white Hyundai Elantra on East River Road in New Glasgow. Driver was known to police for having a revoked driver’s license. Police immediately conducted a traffic stop on the Hyundai vehicle and upon investigation, the driver and passenger were arrested for possession of controlled substance.
Coty Leblanc, 30, of Pictou County, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and was charged for Driving a Motor Vehicle while License was Revoked.
Leblanc was remanded into custody and will be appearing at the Nova Scotia Provincial Court in Pictou on Monday April 14, 2025.
During Leblanc’s arrest and a subsequent search of his vehicle, NGRP officers located and seized:
Cocaine
Digital Scale
Open Alcohol
Individual Bags
In addition, a 21-year-old -female passenger from Pictou County was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. The 21-year-old -female was released and will be appearing at the Nova Scotia Provincial Court in Pictou at a later date.
