{"id":10104,"date":"2024-12-24T15:45:22","date_gmt":"2024-12-24T18:45:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=10104"},"modified":"2024-12-24T15:45:23","modified_gmt":"2024-12-24T18:45:23","slug":"46-year-old-man-charged-after-serious-incident-at-pharmacy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2024\/12\/24\/46-year-old-man-charged-after-serious-incident-at-pharmacy\/","title":{"rendered":"46 Year Old Man Charged After Serious Incident at Pharmacy."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Yarmouth Town RCMP has charged a man following an attempted robbery in #Yarmouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On December 23, at approximately 11:00 a.m., RCMP officers responded to a robbery at a pharmacy on Starrs Rd. where a man brandished a knife, threatened employees, and demanded prescription drugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Multiple officers responded immediately, located the suspect leaving the business, and arrested him without incident. A prohibited \u201cbutterfly\u201d knife was located on his person during the arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Garth Samuel Makarowski, aged 46, of Yarmouth, has been charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attempted Robbery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Uttering Threats (two counts)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Makarowski was held in custody and will appear in Yarmouth Provincial Court today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source: RCMP Release <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yarmouth Town RCMP has charged a man following an attempted robbery in #Yarmouth.
