On January 24, 2025, at approximately 8:11 pm, the Truro Police Service responded to a report that a male had been stabbed at a residence on Ford Street in Truro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On arriving, patrol officers located a 33-year-old male with serious injury and quickly rendered life saving first aid. The male victim was transported to the hospital for further treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A 26-year-old female was arrested on scene without incident. She is charged with attempted murder and violation of a court order prohibiting her to have contact with the victim from a previous case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The accused will be remanded into custody and will appear in court at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Truro Police Service Criminal Investigation Division and the Truro Police Service Forensic Identification Section have taken the lead on this investigation of Intimate Partner Violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The name of the accused is being withheld until their first court appearance. The matter is still under investigation and further charges are possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
