RCMP officers learned that a Mercedes Sprinter van was travelling on the highway when it left the roadway and came to rest in the ditch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver and lone occupant, a 44-year-old man from the Halifax Regional Municipality, was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hwy. 208 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source: RCMP Release <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Queens District RCMP is investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Pleasant River.
