{"id":10615,"date":"2025-02-24T17:31:39","date_gmt":"2025-02-24T20:31:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=10615"},"modified":"2025-02-24T17:31:40","modified_gmt":"2025-02-24T20:31:40","slug":"rcmp-arrested-five-people-after-executing-search-warrant-at-residence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2025\/02\/24\/rcmp-arrested-five-people-after-executing-search-warrant-at-residence\/","title":{"rendered":"RCMP Arrested Five People After Executing Search Warrant at Residence."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Colchester County District RCMP has arrested five people and executed a search warrant in West New Annan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On February 20, in relation to an ongoing voyeurism investigation, RCMP officers, assisted by the RCMP Emergency Response Team, safely arrested four men and one woman at a home on Hwy. 246.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigators then executed a search warrant at the residence, where they seized cell phones, laptops, a pistol, a shotgun, a loaded rifle, ammunition, body armour, correctional services uniforms, methamphetamine pills and tannerite pellets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1009\" src=\"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/FB_IMG_1740428911860-1024x1009.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10616\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/FB_IMG_1740428911860-1024x1009.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/FB_IMG_1740428911860-300x296.jpg 300w, https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/FB_IMG_1740428911860-768x757.jpg 768w, https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/FB_IMG_1740428911860.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Leland Lance Lynds, 55, of West New Annan, has been charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized (three counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contravention of Storage Regulations (three counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession Contrary to a Prohibition Order (six counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failure to Comply with a Probation Order<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of Property Obtained by Crime<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of a Controlled Substance (three counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Colby Alexander Keating, 28, of Central New Annan, has been charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Failure to Comply with a Probation Order<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failure to Comply with a Release Order (two counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (three counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon or Restricted Weapon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of a Controlled Substance (three counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Lynds was remanded into custody and is due to appear in Truro Provincial Court on February 26, at 9:30 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keating was held in custody and released on conditions by the courts. He will appear in Truro Provincial Court on April 2, at 9:30 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A 66-year-old man of West New Annan was issued a summary offence ticket under the Body Armour Control Act of Nova Scotia for possessing body armour. The remaining two people who were arrested, a 43-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were released on conditions.
