{"id":10629,"date":"2025-02-27T13:59:15","date_gmt":"2025-02-27T16:59:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=10629"},"modified":"2025-02-27T13:59:16","modified_gmt":"2025-02-27T16:59:16","slug":"three-people-charged-with-serious-offences-in-pictou-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2025\/02\/27\/three-people-charged-with-serious-offences-in-pictou-county\/","title":{"rendered":"Three People Charged With Serious Offences in Pictou County."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit charges three people involved in drug trafficking<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>February 27, 2025, Pictou, Nova Scotia \u2026 The Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU) has charged three people as part of a drug trafficking investigation in Mountville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On February 25, in relation to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, the PCISCEU, assisted by RCMP Police Dog Services, the Stellarton Police Department, Pictou County District RCMP and the Antigonish\/Guysborough County District RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Mountville Rd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the home, two women and a man were safely arrested. During a search of the property, officers located seized license plates and cell phones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the investigation, officers then conducted a targeted traffic stop of a Honda Civic travelling nearby on Mountville Rd. Officers arrested the four occupants, a man and three women, and seized cocaine, methamphetamine, diazepam, drug paraphernalia, and cash during a search of the vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Justin Kenneth Coady, 42, John Gregory Gerrior, 34, and Katelyn Rose Kirk, 33, have been charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of Diazepam for the Purpose of Trafficking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of Property Obtained by Crime<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The two women arrested at the home and two of the female occupants in the Honda were later released without charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coady and Gerrior were released on conditions. They are scheduled to appear in Pictou Provincial Court on May 26, at 9:30 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kirk was held in custody and released by the courts on conditions.
