{"id":10922,"date":"2025-04-22T13:13:23","date_gmt":"2025-04-22T16:13:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=10922"},"modified":"2025-04-22T13:14:41","modified_gmt":"2025-04-22T16:14:41","slug":"police-investigate-fatal-collision-between-a-van","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2025\/04\/22\/police-investigate-fatal-collision-between-a-van\/","title":{"rendered":"Police Investigate Fatal Collision Between Van and Motorcycle."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Lawrencetown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On April 21, at approximately 12:10 p.m., RCMP officers, fire, and EHS responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Lawrencetown Rd. and Gammon Lake Dr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investigation indicates an Econoline van was travelling south on Gammon Lake Dr. and a Yamaha motorcycle was travelling west on Lawrencetown Rd. when they collided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver and sole rider of the motorcycle, a 65-year-old man from Three Fathom Harbour, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and sole occupant of the van, a 59-year-old man from Westphal, was not injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A collision reconstructionist attended the scene; the investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lawrencetown Rd. was closed for several hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source: RCMP Release <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Lawrencetown.
