Police investigate shooting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in Dartmouth today, leaving one man dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At approximately 12:00 p.m., police responded to a report of gun shots in the area of Highfield Park Drive and True North Crescent. On scene, police found a man in a vehicle with gunshot wounds. Police performed CPR on the victim, but the man was pronounced deceased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police are asking the public to avoid the area as the conduct their investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident is being treated as a homicide. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service will conduct an autopsy and identification details will not be provided until the autopsy has concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The investigation is in the early stages. More information will be provided as it becomes available<\/p>\n\n\n\n
