{"id":11182,"date":"2025-07-08T11:34:19","date_gmt":"2025-07-08T14:34:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=11182"},"modified":"2025-07-08T11:34:20","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T14:34:20","slug":"police-investigate-two-incidents-that-occurred-over-the-weekend-in-antigonish","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2025\/07\/08\/police-investigate-two-incidents-that-occurred-over-the-weekend-in-antigonish\/","title":{"rendered":"Police Investigate Two Incidents That Occurred Over the Weekend in Antigonish."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Antigonish County District RCMP is seeking information from the public following two incidents in Antigonish over the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 6, at approximately 1:25 a.m., RCMP officers and fire services responded to a report of several Molotov cocktails being thrown at a home and vehicle on Martin St.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the scene, officers seized several glass bottles containing fuel and engaged RCMP Forensic Identification Services to analyze the items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two people wearing black hoodies were seen leaving the area in a dark GMC vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later, at approximately 4:15 a.m., Antigonish County District RCMP responded to a report of fireworks being shot at a residence on Xavier Dr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers believe the two incidents are related and the investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone with information about the incidents or who has video footage of the areas in the overnight hours of July 6 is asked to call Antigonish County District RCMP at 902-863-6500.
