Motor Vehicle Collision leads to impaired driving charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Glasgow Regional Police has charged a Pictou County man with impaired driving, following a report of a motor vehicle collision on East River Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Thrusday August 15, at 1:302 a.m., New Glasgow Regional Police on routine patrol responded to a motor vehicle collision where a Nissan Titan truck struck a set of traffic lights at a pedestrian crossing median on East River Road. Minutes prior to the collision, the same vehicle had struck a power pole at the intersection of Temperance Street and East River Road.
New Glasgow Fire Department attended with Nova Scotia Power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The driver was sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Aberdeen Hospital by Emergency Health Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Glasgow Regional Police arrested and charged
Christopher Neil 27 years of age from Pictou County years of age with,
Driving While Impaired. 320.14(1)(a)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was released on an Undertaking and will be appearing in Provincial Court in Pictou on October 27, 202 New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
