Colchester County District RCMP is investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred in Bayhead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On August 29 at approximately 3:30 p.m., Colchester County District RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a Ford Escape in the 1700 block of Hwy. 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Responding officers learned the Escape was travelling north and was turning left off the highway when it was struck by the motorcycle, which was travelling south.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The driver and sole rider of the motorcycle, a 60-year-old man of Malagash, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and sole occupant of the Escape, an 81-year-old woman of Tatamagouche, did not report injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hwy. 6 was closed for several hours but has since reopened. An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the location of the collision; the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
