{"id":11387,"date":"2025-09-04T10:45:51","date_gmt":"2025-09-04T13:45:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=11387"},"modified":"2025-09-04T10:45:52","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T13:45:52","slug":"new-brunswick-man-charged-with-serious-offences-after-traffic-stop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2025\/09\/04\/new-brunswick-man-charged-with-serious-offences-after-traffic-stop\/","title":{"rendered":"New Brunswick Man Charged With Serious Offences After Traffic Stop."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>RCMP Southeast Traffic Services has charged a man with multiple firearms offences after a traffic stop in Enfield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On August 29, at approximately 7:21 p.m., an RCMP Southeast Traffic Services officer observed an Audi A5 travelling southbound on Hwy. 102 with a tinted front passenger window, which is illegal in Nova Scotia under the Motor Vehicle Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The RCMP officer initiated a traffic stop, smelled marijuana and conducted a search of the vehicle and the driver. The search resulted in the seizure of cannabis, a loaded 9mm handgun and a quantity of cash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Robert Victor Fraser, 32, of Saint John, New Brunswick, was arrested and has been charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Unauthorized Possession of Firearm (two counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Occupant of a Motor Vehicle in which there is a Firearm, Prohibited Weapon, a Restricted Weapon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possess a Firearm Knowing that the Serial Number on it has been Altered<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possess Firearm while Prohibited (two counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of Firearm knowing Possession is Unauthorized (two counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of a Weapon or Device Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized (two counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Weapons Trafficking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Laundering Proceeds of Crime<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Fraser appeared in Dartmouth Provincial Court on September 2.
