Public Advisory \u2013 Suspicious Person Complaint<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Glasgow, Nova Scotia
The New Glasgow Regional Police (NGRP) responded to a complaint of a suspicious male on Albert Street, New Glasgow, on Thursday, September 18, at 5:20pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police immediately responded and upon investigation identified an adult male.
Police investigated and worked in close collaboration with the local school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Protection of Property Act for the immediate area was issued against the adult male.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At this time, there is no identified specific threat to public safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The safety of our community, especially children is our top priority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We encourage parents and guardians to review these safety tips with their children when walking to and from school or spending time in public spaces:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Walk with a buddy whenever possible.
Stay in well-lit, busy areas and avoid shortcuts through isolated spaces.
Never accept rides or gifts from strangers.
If approached or feeling unsafe, go to a trusted adult, business, or safe place immediately.
Call 911 in an emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
