{"id":11453,"date":"2025-09-21T06:36:33","date_gmt":"2025-09-21T09:36:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=11453"},"modified":"2025-09-21T06:36:34","modified_gmt":"2025-09-21T09:36:34","slug":"police-investigate-suspicious-person-complaint","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2025\/09\/21\/police-investigate-suspicious-person-complaint\/","title":{"rendered":"Police Investigate Suspicious Person Complaint."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Public Advisory \u2013 Suspicious Person Complaint<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New Glasgow, Nova Scotia<br>The New Glasgow Regional Police (NGRP) responded to a complaint of a suspicious male on Albert Street, New Glasgow, on Thursday, September 18, at 5:20pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police immediately responded and upon investigation identified an adult male.<br>Police investigated and worked in close collaboration with the local school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Protection of Property Act for the immediate area was issued against the adult male.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this time, there is no identified specific threat to public safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The safety of our community, especially children is our top priority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We encourage parents and guardians to review these safety tips with their children when walking to and from school or spending time in public spaces:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walk with a buddy whenever possible.<br>Stay in well-lit, busy areas and avoid shortcuts through isolated spaces.<br>Never accept rides or gifts from strangers.<br>If approached or feeling unsafe, go to a trusted adult, business, or safe place immediately.<br>Call 911 in an emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New Glasgow Regional Police remains committed to maintaining a safe and secure community for all.
