Police immediately initiated a traffic stop and following an investigation, 22-year-old driver, Xander Rorison of Pictou County, was arrested and charged with impaired driving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rorison is scheduled to appear in Pictou at the Nova Scotia Provincial Court on December 8, 2025, facing the following charges under the Criminal Code of Canada for,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Impaired operation of a motor vehicle \u2013 Section 320.14(1)(a)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Impaired operation of a motor vehicle while having a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg% \u2013 Section 320.14(1)(b)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New Glasgow Regional Police remind the public to call 911 immediately if they suspect an impaired driver.
