{"id":11706,"date":"2025-11-26T10:12:04","date_gmt":"2025-11-26T13:12:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=11706"},"modified":"2025-11-26T10:12:05","modified_gmt":"2025-11-26T13:12:05","slug":"rcmp-investigate-fatal-collision-involving-a-pedestrian-and-vehicle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2025\/11\/26\/rcmp-investigate-fatal-collision-involving-a-pedestrian-and-vehicle\/","title":{"rendered":"RCMP Investigate Fatal Collision Involving a Pedestrian and Vehicle."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Annapolis District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle that occurred in Granville Beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On November 24, at approximately 6:30 p.m., RCMP officers, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a collision in the 4600 block of Granville Rd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon arrival, officers learned that two women were assisting a man in the roadway when one of the women was hit by a Hyundai Elantra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pedestrian, a 65-year-old woman from Karsdale, was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the investigation, officers determined that the two women were helping a man who had been driving a Mitsubishi Outlander, which was stopped on the side of the road. The man was displaying signs of impairment, and a roadside breath demand was conducted. The 74-year-old man from Port Wade was arrested and is facing charges of Operation of a Motor Vehicle while Impaired and Operation of a Motor Vehicle while over 80mg%.
