{"id":11822,"date":"2025-12-17T10:26:51","date_gmt":"2025-12-17T13:26:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=11822"},"modified":"2025-12-17T10:26:52","modified_gmt":"2025-12-17T13:26:52","slug":"bc-man-facing-serious-charges-after-warrant-search","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2025\/12\/17\/bc-man-facing-serious-charges-after-warrant-search\/","title":{"rendered":"BC Man Facing Serious Charges After Warrant Search."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment (HRD) Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) has charged a British Columbia man with drug and weapons offences after a search warrant was executed in Halifax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On December 12, at approximately 4:45 a.m., RCMP HRD SCEU \u2013 supported by the Halifax Regional Police Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit &#8211; arrested a man and executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1400 block of Brenton St. following a lengthy investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the home, officers seized a quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone, hydromorphone, methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), cash, jewelry and a switchblade knife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mustafa Abdul Al-Rikabi, 28, from Surrey, B.C., has been charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (five counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 (two counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of a Prohibited Weapon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Al-Rikabi appeared in Halifax Provincial Court on December 15 where he was released on conditions.
