{"id":12114,"date":"2026-02-12T10:30:01","date_gmt":"2026-02-12T13:30:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=12114"},"modified":"2026-02-12T10:30:03","modified_gmt":"2026-02-12T13:30:03","slug":"school-bus-driver-charged-after-crash-with-kids-on-bus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2026\/02\/12\/school-bus-driver-charged-after-crash-with-kids-on-bus\/","title":{"rendered":"School Bus Driver Charged After Crash With Kids on Bus."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Digby RCMP Detachment has charged the driver of a school bus in relation to a crash in Roxville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At approximately 2:35 p.m. on February 2, RCMP officers, EHS and fire services responded to a report that a school bus had gone into the ditch on Hwy. 217 near Culloden Rd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">About twelve children were on board at the time. Four were assessed by EHS at the scene and released. No additional physical injuries were reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On February 10, RCMP officers arrested the driver, 62-year-old Harold Wayne Oliver, from Seabrook. He\u2019s facing a charge of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Oliver was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Digby Provincial Court on April 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyone with information on the crash, including dashcam footage, is asked to contact Digby RCMP Detachment at 902-245-2579.
