{"id":12460,"date":"2026-04-21T10:07:44","date_gmt":"2026-04-21T13:07:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=12460"},"modified":"2026-04-21T10:07:46","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T13:07:46","slug":"two-youth-arrested-following-attempted-robbery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2026\/04\/21\/two-youth-arrested-following-attempted-robbery\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Youth Arrested Following Attempted Robbery."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment arrested two youths and seized weapons following an attempted robbery in Lower Sackville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On April 17, at approximately 6:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of an attempted robbery in the 700 block of Sackville Dr. Officers learned that two youths attempted to rob other youths, that a weapon may\u2019ve been involved, and that the suspects fled on foot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers located two youths in the area shortly afterward and arrested them without incident. During a search, they seized an airsoft pistol, an airsoft rifle, and a can of sensory irritant spray.<br>The victims didn\u2019t remain on scene and haven\u2019t been identified. No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One youth is facing charges related to weapons possession and failure to comply with court orders. The second youth was released without charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment at 902-490-5020.
