{"id":12712,"date":"2026-06-06T08:43:25","date_gmt":"2026-06-06T11:43:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=12712"},"modified":"2026-06-06T08:43:26","modified_gmt":"2026-06-06T11:43:26","slug":"rcmp-investigate-fatal-single-vehicle-crash-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2026\/06\/06\/rcmp-investigate-fatal-single-vehicle-crash-4\/","title":{"rendered":"RCMP Investigate Fatal Single Vehicle Crash."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Victoria County District RCMP is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on the Cabot Trail and is seeking information from witnesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On May 30, at approximately 7:45 p.m., RCMP officers, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on the Cabot Trail near Blaze Rd. in Big Intervale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officers learned that a white Honda Civic had left the road and hit the ditch. One occupant of the vehicle, a 20-year-old man from South Harbour, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A second occupant was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several bystanders assisted the two occupants of the vehicle while first responders were on their way to the crash. Officers appreciated their support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene.
